The Associated Press is reporting how a new Prague-based internet radio station has started to broadcast news and information to 300,000 Ukrainian refugees now in the Czech Republic since Russia invaded Ukraine. It's called Radio Ukraine. Read the story HERE.

Massachusetts auto dealer Ernie Boch Jr. contacted The Greg Hill Show on WEEI Thursday morning March 31, to announce he would pay for 7,000 gallons of gas to be given away in his hometown of Norwood Friday April 1st. No foolin', the "April Fuel's Day" event is costing Boch about $30,000.

The New York Festivals® Radio Awards competition has announced the 2022 Radio Awards shortlist across 14 category groups. The United Kingdom led with 75 entries shortlisted followed by the United States with 57, Ireland with 56 and Canada saw 35 entries.

The Broadcast Education Association has released the first annual rankings of schools based on the creative achievement of their students. The rankings are founded on the results from the BEA Festival of Media Arts; an international media competition focused on student and faculty creative endeavors.

The ratings firm told clients Thursday that after a "gauntlet" of multi-year testing, it's new wristband, clip and pendant are reliable and ready for rollout. Nielsen says 50-75% of its panel should be equipped with the wearables by the end of this year.

Max Media's WOOZ-FM in Southern Illinois (Marion-Carbondale) just wrapped a record-breaking year for their St. Jude Radiothon with a final total of $331,148. This includes a record 4.8 million pennies and over $47K from auctions. In the 28-year history of the radiothon the station has raised $4.8 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thunderbolt Radio President and General Manager Paul Tinkle will be inducted into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame Saturday, August 6th at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Murfreesboro.
