(By Fred Jacobs) First of all, I’m honored so many radio industry luminaries were moved enough by this year’s Techsurvey 2022 to share their thoughts in Radio Ink these past two weeks. David Santrella, Joel Oxley, Mike McVay, Buzz Knight, Ed Levine, Bud Walters, Alan Burns, and Lee Abrams are industry icons I admire, have worked with, and in some cases, competed against.

KTIS-FM in Minneapolis and Life 97.9 in Fargo simultaneously aired a two-day event recently and were able to find over 400 new Child Champions (sponsors) for children living in extreme poverty, through the ministry OneChild.

(By Michael Doyle) I grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York, about 3 blocks from the world famous Thoroughbred Race Track. The area I lived in with my parents and 3 sisters was near what is now called the ‘Clubhouse Gate.’  We just called it the back gate.  As in, we couldn’t afford a house near the main gate.

iHeartMedia Charlotte and the Carolina Panthers have signed a new multi-year broadcast deal to move games to WRFX-FM and make the station the team's new flagship for the Carolina Panthers Radio Network. Urban One's WBT had been carrying the games since 2005.
