'The Fan Upstate' (WORD-AM/WYRD-AM) has been launched in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina. The rebrand from 'ESPN Upstate' replaces ESPN programming with Local Sports Talk, CBS Sports Radio and BetQL line-ups.
Radio Sputnik Still Underfire
The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America has filed a petition seeking to revoke the licenses of radio stations owned by Arthur Liu and Yvonne S. Liu; the controlling shareholders of Way Broadcasting. The stations are broadcasting Radio Sputnik.
KMJ-AM Centennial Celebration
Cumulus Media's KMJ-AM in Fresno has kicked off a year-long 100th birthday celebration. The News/Talk station celebration includes plans for a concert and a documentary film.
Wolkoff, G-Networks Lawsuit Settled
Back in January, the two sides agreed to see a private mediator to try to settle their lawsuit. Danno and Laura Wolkoff, who were let go from G-Networks, formerly Sun Broadcast Group, filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination in August. They say they were owed over $2 million.

WCCO Minnesota afternoon co-host Jordana Green announced on her Caring Bridge page that her cancer is back, one week after posting she was in remission. "Last night was one of the worst nights of my life. I had to tell my kids my cancer has returned. I'm sorry.
