Beasley Media Group is being honored by State Theatre New Jersey as part of the theater's Next Stage Campaign. "Beasley Media Group Green Room" commemorates Beasley Media Group’s commitment to the arts community and longtime support of State Theatre New Jersey.

KOKE-FM in Austin will mark its 10th anniversary with a live broadcast from the legendary Austin dancehall the "Broken Spoke". The show will be reflecting on memorable experiences and honor the loyal listeners and talented artists that have helped shape KOKE over the past ten years.

The Sun Radio Recharge Program is back to help Operation Blue Santa with Christmas in July. As part of the program gas cards will be provided for Texas musicians and crew members for bands who are back out on the road.

As soon as word got out there was a sniper shooting at residents from a building in Highland Park near Chicago during a 4th of July parade, the WGN radio team sprung into action to cover the breaking news and keep listeners informed.

This weekend the Minnesota Twins were in Chicago to play the White Sox. Radio play-by-play announcer Cory Provus, who's from Highland Park, was visiting his parents. Provus tells KARE-11 he once worked at a candy store near the area and expects he'll know people involved in the shooting because Highland Park is the kind of town everyone knows everyone.

Lon Helton's Country Countdown USA has been eliminated from the programming roster in a round of firings at Westwood One. Our friends over at All Access were first to report that Helton's show will end distribution with the Cumulus owned network at the end of July.

iHeartMedia Charlotte’s WHQC-FM has signed a multi-year partnership with Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. Morning show hosts Miguel and Holly will lead the partnership by hosting an annual Radiothon, set for its inaugural event in December.
