The House Judiciary Committee voted in favor of moving the American Music Fairness Act out of Committee and onto the House floor for a full vote. The bill, if enacted into law, would require radio stations to pay artists to play their music. The Bill is not expected to be approved by the current Congress.

Big Vote in Congress Today

A group of over 40 musicians have signed a letter to lawmakers urging the passage of the American Music Fairness Act, a proposed law that would tax radio to play their music. The letter comes as the House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote Wednesday on whether to refer the American Music Fairness Act to the full House chamber.
