iHeart’s Music Festival Takes Home Shorty Award
The 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival has been awarded the winner of the Eighth Annual Shorty Award for The Best of Social Media at a Live Event. In addition, iHeartMedia's social engagement for the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards earned a Gold distinction as a finalist in the Shorty Awards Live Events category. Myers: Hispanic Media To Increase 7.9% in 2016
Media Ecologist Jack Myers says marketers invested $5.7 billion in Hispanic media in 2015 which was down 6.6% from 2014. However, Myers says in 2016 spending will rebound nicely. The MyersBizNet Hispanic media report projects marketers will increase spending 7.9% in 2016.

According to Media Monitors, from March 11 to March 20, Bernie Sanders For President aired 7,936 spots and the National Nurses United Patient Protection added 995 spots bringing Sanders' radio total to 8,931 spots. Hillary Clinton ran 4,536 spots, while her PAC Priorities USA Action bought 1,821 giving Clinton a total of 6,357 spots putting her at #2. Then it was the Republicans, who were very far behind.
GEICO #1. Subway Coming on Strong
GEICO (40,880) ran more than eight thousand more commercials on the radio than second place Burrger King (32,551), according to the latest Media Monitiors weekly chart. AutoZone was third (30,663), followed by McDonald's (26,883) and The Home Depot (22,674) rounding out the top five. Subway was the biggest chart mover last week jumping from 17th to 9th, airing 17,669 commercials

Bridge Ratings says it has been tracking the growth of Pandora since 2006 and in 2010 Bridge published an analysis of consumer use of Pandora. That analysis was updated for the past four years. Here are the results from the latest findings from Bridge.
Spotify Has 30 Million Paid Subs
That's according to a tweet by CEO Daniel Ek. The company last gave an update (20 million subscribers) last June. Spotify is now adding about 10 million paid customers a year. It had 10 million subscribers total in 2014.
CBS Radio Takes Home Eight Gracie’s
The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation's Gracie Awards honor exemplary programming for, by and about women in all facets of media and entertainment. Eight women who work at CBS Radio were among the radio winners.
Greater Media, Cosby, Hamburg Also Win Gracies
Greater Media's Magic 106.7 in Boston won two Gracie awards for its long-running public affairs program called "Exceptional Women." WABC's Rita Cosby won two Gracie awards for host of a news/non-fiction program and host of a talk show. WABC's Joan Hamburg also won a Gracie for a soft news feature.
