The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. has announced the acquisition of the National Association of Black-Owned Broadcasters. This move marks the inception of the USBC Media Network, aimed at reshaping the landscape of Black media and culture.

USBC President and CEO Ron Busby elaborated on the acquisition’s purpose, stating it will serve as a robust platform for diverse content that encompasses various aspects of Black culture, including lifestyle, sports, and politics. The network aims to further enrich Black storytelling and offer invaluable opportunities to over 257 Black-Owned Media and Broadcast Stations within the USBC-NABOB membership.

The newly established USBC Media Network will supervise existing entities like the USBC Radio Network and NABOB, along with USBC Events and other media initiatives. The acquisition is intended to facilitate collaborations among USBC’s 169 global chambers, which represent more than 300,000 Black businesses, and NABOB’s radio stations. This synergy is expected to create new advertising channels for Black-owned businesses across both radio and digital platforms.

In addition to traditional radio broadcasting, the USBC Media Network plans to maximize its digital presence through its website. The platform will offer programming and cost-effective advertising solutions for businesses. USBC Media will also work closely with other Black-owned media outlets and push for policies that foster the growth of Black media at large.

Ron Busby reiterated, “Our mission remains unequivocal. We are unwaveringly committed to creating a media platform that fosters engagement and education, cultivating a profound understanding and appreciation for Black entrepreneurship, advocacy, culture, lifestyle, and experiences. Through our content, our objective is to spark meaningful dialogue, foster unity, and kindle transformative change.”
