One radio station on Long Island got a surprise visit from an unexpected and very famous guest, renowned singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. On Sunday, Buffett made an impromptu visit to WLNG 92.1 in Sag Harbor to debut his new song “My Gummy Just Kicked In”.
The singer joined Bill Evans and Jessica Ambrose for a 45-minute interview during their Lunch on the Deck show. Buffett affectionately said he chose WLNG for the debut since it is “his hometown radio station.” Outside of his main Florida residence, he also owns a Hamptons beach residence.
A high school buddy’s older brother(college guy) had “son of a son of a sailor”album in his pile in ‘81 and my listening days have never quit since…. 1st concert-‘86 Ft. Lauderdale & ‘86-‘90 I’d fall asleep in my rack on the USS JFK with Florida’s or A1A or 1 of the other 18 Buffett albums in my walkmans red ear puffs!!…- – This one hurt… – This one felt just like family & my heart’s different- this one hurt!… 6 months out & still feels fresh & powerful!… & I never even met the man!.
