How’s That Job Board Working For Your Recruitment?

0

(By Chris Stonick) When overly relying on job boards, you are actively seeking active job seekers. When you hire from a job board, does the person take their resume off of the job board when they start with you? Chances are, no. So, they work for you and do a good job, but they are consistently receiving more job offers… maybe better than yours.

In many cases, when hiring from a job board, you are hiring turnover. I talked with one company that used one of the largest job boards in the world (use your imagination). They said their company loved the job board because they hired 500 people nationwide. I then asked how many resumes they received. The answer?

17,500.

Maybe they have more time than I do. We never even got to the next question: of those 500, how many are still with your company?

Radio targets the passive job seeker. Fewer applicants, but better qualified and less likely to leave. The choice is yours… if you love resumes, stick to your plan!
