(By Marc Greenspan) How are you pacing to end 2023? Need some hot categories for prospecting business so you can finish your year strong? At Research Director, Inc., we watch the trends and can share some insights we are seeing at this time.
Hot categories of business that can help you reach the finish line for 2023 include:
- Home Repair/Improvement – People are still spending money to upgrade their homes, as well as to repair damage from the extreme weather we have seen across the country. Specifically, repairs include new roofs, restoration for water damage, new paint/siding, etc. Upgrades include appliances, smart homes, furniture, flooring, window coverings, and security systems. Think about prospecting the contractors.
- Education – all types from K-12 private schools to colleges/universities and trade schools. Don’t forget about Adult Continuing Education. The pandemic changed our lives and some folks are learning new skills for a new job.
- Recruitment – speaking of jobs … recruitment is still very strong. It now represents three of the top ten radio advertisers represented in Media Monitors. Recruitment crosses over every industry. Restaurant and Healthcare are big industries in need of staff.
- Political – you can use Scarborough data to profile your listeners by political party, type of election, and if they align with candidates by issues. This will help you get your fair share of political dollars.
- Entertainment – concerts are back in a big way, not to mention travel, theme parks, theater, museums, casinos, and sporting events. Profile your listeners for the strongest areas that are the best fit for your station.
We are experts at profiling stations, so let us know if we can help. Let’s finish the year strong!!!
