Violence Against Journalists

The NAB believes more needs to be done to protect Journalists from violence. NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt in a blog post writes- “Reporters deserve the right to report the news without fear or favor – and our democracy depends on it.”

The blog post follows a Newly Released RTDNA Survey that found more than one in five TV news directors say their journalists were attacked in 2021.

LeGeyt writes-“Dedicated journalists in local communities across the country are putting themselves in harm’s way to cover the news, shining a light on the many facets of the challenges we face today. They are working to hold local officials and citizens accountable, to find the answers to urgent questions and to seek justice. This has never been a more important task.”

  1. Thanks to the lies told on talk radio and other “conservative” media, people who told on “alternative fact” media. The NAB should stop giving awards to people who do not deal in facts and honest fact based discussion.
