Rachel Hubbard has been named the Executive Director of Oklahoma State University’s public radio station KOSU. The news and Triple A station broadcasts throughout central, northern, and northeastern Oklahoma, and portions of Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas. Hubbard started her radio career while still in high school at KTJS in Hobart, Oklahoma. She then joined KOSU as a student reporter in 1999 and has since worked as the state hour reporter, News Director, and PD.

“I want to fight for public media in Oklahoma,” Hubbard said. “Oftentimes, people look at news outlets that are outside of Oklahoma and talk about the things they’re doing well, and I don’t see any reason why we can’t own that right here in Oklahoma and have a media resource that is ours, it’s made by us and it’s made for us.”
