Bustos Media is purchasing three Northern California FM’s from Mapleton (KQPT, KFMF and KZAP 96.7) along with translator K300AD on 107.9. CEO Amador Bustos said, “These stations have special meaning for our company. It all started in Northern California in 1992 and we’re coming full circle.”
The three new signals will strengthen Bustos’ Pacific and Northwest coverage which will now stretch from Woodland, California to the Canadian border. This brings the total number of stations owned by Bustos Media to 23.
Bustos Media will begin operating the stations once the Federal Communications Commission approves the transaction. It has not yet been determined which stations will be converted to Spanish and which will stay in their English format.
The deal was brokered by Jorgenson Broadcast Brokerage.
