San Diego Station Giving Away An Air Shift

0

KNSJ-FM is off the air, it says, due to “climate disruption.” Actually it was one of the worst ice storms to hit the area in decades. The violent weather damaged the station’s antenna and knocked the San Diego community station off the air. So the station has started a unique campaign to raise the thousands of dollars it needs for repairs.

Station management says it needs between $4,000 and $8000 to complete the necessary repairs and protect itself against future disruptions.

Here’s what listeners will be rewarded with for certain donations:
– For $24 you become an official listener member; with occasional perks during the year.
– For $35 you get VIP seats for our next stellar speaker (E.g. KNSJ had Amy Goodman and Chris Hedges).
– For $50, get major theater, concert, or cultural event tickets.
– $100 donors receive an Echo Smart-speaker for hands-free, easy listening of KNSJ or any station’s music.
– $300 donors get an opportunity to go on the air and shape the content topic of the show. So what’s your passion?
– One donor will also be randomly selected to receive their very own one-off radio show.
