The City of Atlanta has dropped traffic charges against Radio One Atlanta host Qri Montague. Montague says she was tased during an October 2018 traffic stop. Earlier this month she announced she was filing a lawsuit against the city.
Fox 5 reported on Wednesday that a city solicitor asked a judge to throw out the traffic charges against Qri Montague and he did so.
Montague got stopped for not signaling a lane change. She got out of her car, raised her hands, and was placed in handcuffs. When the officer went back to his vehicle to check the plate on his computer, Montague disobeyed his instruction to remain still. She admits she got up and walked to her vehicle. She says she wanted to change her shirt because she had a radio station shirt on and did not want to embarrass her company. It was then that she was tased.
