98.5 The Sports Hub/Boston’s Mike Thomas has been named Barrett Sports Media’s Major Market Program Director of the Year. Thomas last won the honor in 2016, and finished second last year and in 2015.
2015/2017 winner Mark Chernoff of WFAN in New York, Mitch Rosen of 670 The Score in Chicago, Spike Eskin of Sports Radio 94WIP in Philadelphia, and Jeff Catlin of Sports Radio 1310/96.7 The Ticket in Dallas made up the Top 5.
In the Mid-Market category, Ryan Haney of WJOX in Birmingham claimed the top spot, replacing two-time winner Andy Roth of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland. Roth finished second in this year’s voting. The rest of the Top 5 included Chris “Hoss” Neupert of 101 ESPN in St. Louis, Brad Carson of 92.9 ESPN in Memphis, and Jim Graci of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh.
