News 95.5 and AM750 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM), and Mark Arum are working together to help Atlanta metro area firefighters who were recently impacted by vehicle break-ins. During his show, Arum asked listeners to help Gwinnett and Forsyth County firefighters who were targeted over the weekend by thieves who struck while they were out on calls. Arum’s team set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of raising $1,000 for the firefighters. Within two hours the goal was met, so Arum decided to raise the goal to $2,000.
“I couldn’t believe the story when I heard it over the weekend,” Arum said. “Who would steal from people that risk their lives every day?” He added, “I know first responders don’t make a lot of money, so I wanted to help them out and try to replace the items that were stolen.”
