Barrett Sports Media Launches Weekly Podcast

Well-respected sports broadcasting guru Jason Barrett is hosting his own weekly show. He tells Radio Ink the new Barrett Sports Media Podcast will give media professionals, and sports radio and television fans, a deeper look into the careers, strategies, and experiences of the industry’s best personalities, contributors, programmers, and executives. The first episode will be February 8.

Barrett says, “The goal of the podcast is to highlight some of the sports media industry’s top talents, thinkers, and strategists, and offer a deeper look into what makes them and their brands unique and successful. It’s a conversation which will offer insights that are beneficial to both aspiring broadcasters and seasoned professionals, and allow fans to gain more familiarity with the individuals who develop and create their favorite content.”

Prior to starting Barrett Sports Media in September 2015, Jason Barrett served as Program Director for 95.7 The Game (KGMZ-FM) in San Francisco, CA, 101 ESPN (WXOS-FM) and 590 The Fan, KFNS in St. Louis, MO, Sports Talk 950 (now known as 97.5 The Fanatic), WPEN in Philadelphia, PA, and ESPN 1340/1390 (WALL-AM/WEOK-AM) in Poughkeepsie, NY. He’s also a former producer of The Dan Patrick Show and Game Night radio programs which previously aired on the ESPN Radio Network.
