Kantar: Holiday Ad Spending Drops

Advertising spending among top retailers is off to a slow start this holiday season, according to a new report from Kantar Media. The Wall Street Journal has the details about the Kantar report which concluded that retailers spent $1.2 billion on ads from Oct. 31 through Nov. 27. That’s a 9% decline from 2015. Electronics ad spending fell 34% to $42 million, while discount and department store ad spending dropped 20% to $327 million.
