Mobile Ignites Strong Holiday Spending

According to Adobe Digital Insights, consumers slapped down $3.34 billion online on Black Friday, that’s an increase of 21.6% from 2015. On Thanksgiving day $1.4 billion was spent for a two-day total of more than $5 Billion, an increase of 11.5% over 2015. $1.2 Billion of that spending was placed using a mobile device, a 33% increase over 2015. Adobe says consumers have spent a total of $26 Billion online for the holiday season between Nov. 1 and Nov. 22, up 3.5% from 2015. Adobe measures 80% of all online transactions from the top 100 U.S. retailers.
