WERO-FM, WRNS-FM, and WQSL-FM in Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, NC, held three live remotes on Tuesday, October 25 to collect goods to assist victims of Hurricane Matthew. As a result, one box truck and one 14-foot cargo truck were filled with donations. The remotes were held at Overton’s Sporting Goods in Greenville, NC.

Alpha Media Market Manager, Tony Denton commented on the announcement, “We always welcome an opportunity to partner with a great corporate citizen like Overton’s to accomplish great things. This partnership to help the hurricane/flood victims was certainly a huge success, and the benefits will be enjoyed by hundreds of families throughout eastern NC.”

“We have made a positive impact on so many in our community, and for that, we are so very thankful. This was a huge success and we truly couldn’t have done it without the help from the Alpha stations,” remarked Krystal Braswell, Overton’s Sporting Goods Retail Buyer.
