Jim Antes will make a homecoming to Beasley Media Group when he heads to Delaware to serve as the station manager of WJBR (99.5 FM) in Wilmington. Antes will also work as the web presence director on behalf of Beasley's Philadelphia and Wilmington-based stations.
Kelly Urich Announces Retirement from KCMO
After more than three decades on radio, Kansas City-based KCMO (94.9 FM) morning show host Kelly Urich has announced his intention to retire later this year. A search is currently under way to find Urich's replacement, who will eventually join co-host Mackenzie on KCMO's morning drive program.
Bob Sherman Ends WFUV Show
Bob Sherman, the host of WFUV (90.7 FM) New York's Woody's Children is ending the program. The contemporary and historic folk show ran on WFUV for 24 years and aired on WQXR (105.9 FM) in New Jersey for 30 years before that. The final show will air Sunday, January 29 at 4 p.m.
Cox Media Announces Promotions in Miami
Cox Media Group announced several promotions for its Miami business: Phil Michaels-Trueba will serve as the director of operations across four stations, while WEDR's DJ Nasty and WHQT's Shelby Rushin at WHQT have been elevated to assistant program directors at those outlets.

Bob Lima, a stalwart of the Southern radio industry whose career spanned several stations, died Wednesday morning after a lengthy battle with cancer. Lima's work spanned several decades, with roles at stations owned by iHeartMedia (then Clear Channel), New South Radio and others.
Gomez Named Music Director at WIHT
iHeartMedia has promoted Nick Gomez to music director at its Washington, D.C. Top 40 station WIHT (99.5 FM). Gomez will report to Rob Kruz, the station's program director, and will be responsible for music programming and other content.
Crawford Named Assistant PD at WSB Atlanta
Cox Media Group has appointed Chris Crawford as assistant program director at Atlanta-based news station WSB (750 AM, 95.5 FM). Chris will work with the WSB team to support all aspects of the station's on-air and off-air strategic executions.
Thomas Joins Beasley
Beasley Media Group has named Rick Thomas Brand Manager of their Tampa cluster, which includes WLLD-FM, WQYK-FM, WRBQ-FM, WYUU-FM, WPBB-FM and WHFS-AM. Thomas will also program WQYK-FM in Tampa.
MIW Promotes Randi P’Pool to Board
Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) has elevated Randi P'Pool to its board of directors. P'Pool, who brings more than two decades of broadcast experience to the board, succeeds Denyse Mesnik, who will now serve on MIW's Advisory Council.
KOA Moves Edwards to ‘Sports Zoo’
HeartMedia's Denver-based sports station KOA (850 AM, 94.1 FM) is moving Ryan Edwards from its evening time slot to the afternoon drive program KOA Sports Zoo. Edwards is joined by co-hosts Dave Logan and Alfred Williams, and will cover all things Denver sports.
