Longtime Seattle-area radio personality Tim Hunter has announced his impending retirement from broadcasting. Hunter will be stepping away from his daily radio show on North Sound Media's KRKO in Everett, WA later this summer following a search for his replacement.

Voiceover artist Heidi West is being added to Beasley Media Boston's Classic Hits 105.7 WROR. As part of her representation by The Mix Group, the Boston resident will lend her vocal talents to the station's on-air presence and engaging imaging.

Cumulus Media has named Blake Powers as the new morning show on B106.7 (WTCB) in Columbia, SC. Powers is already a voice talent for Cumulus Media's Westwood One Hot AC and CHR formats. He makes his B106.7 debut on May 30th.

Audacy New York has announced contract extensions for Karen Carson, Johnny Mingione, and Anthony Malerba, the co-hosts of Karen Carson in the Morning on NEW 102.7 (WNEW). Carson has been on the air in New York City since 1996.

Beasley Media Philadelphia's John Kincade updated listeners on his health following surgery for colon cancer. The 97.5 The Fanatic (WPEN) morning host said doctors successfully removed all of the cancer from his colon, but also had some tough news to share.

Faisal Khan has been appointed Executive Director of the Next Generation Warning System by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Khan will work with FEMA to implement the NGWS grant program to create a resilient, secure public alerting system through public radio and TV.

Audacy has extended its contract with radio and multi-media personality Joshua "Bru" Brubaker. Bru hosts his daily radio show on several Audacy brands, including B96 (WBBM) in Chicago, Power 96 (WPOW) in Miami, and Live 101.5 (KALV) in Phoenix.

Cumulus Media and Westwood One syndicated talk host Dan Bongino may be resigning his contract next year after claims to the contrary. Bongino took issue with Cumulus' COVID-19 vaccine requirement, but with its dissolution, his future is now uncertain.

Audacy Chicago personality Dave Kerner is retiring after his Friday shift following 43 years in radio. Kerner, known for his sports reports, joined then-CBS Radio's WMAQ-AM in 1997 after sending tapes to Program Director Ron Gleason for an update anchor job.

Shawn Fort will be Cromwell Media Nashville's next General Manager starting June 15. He will succeed Dennis Gwiazdon, who will transition to an advisory role after leading for nearly four years. Fort will be responsible for overseeing Cromwell's five Nashville stations.
