ESPN is out with a new four-part series that tells the story podcast of an obscure former Olympian and alleged serial sexual predator, Conrad Avondale Mainwaring. This 13-month ESPN investigation by the “Outside the Lines” team brought him out of the shadows.
Edison: Podcast Listening Sees Big Jump
Edison Research is reporting that for the first time since its Share of Ear study began tracking audio consumption in 2014, podcasting’s share of all audio listening is now 6% of consumption. This marks an all-time high for podcasting.
Cavs Extend With iHeart
The NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers and iHeartMedia Cleveland announced a multiyear agreement beginning with the 2020-21 season. The new deal will keep WTAM-AM/FM and WMMS-FM as the official flagship stations for the Cavs.
Chiang Takes On Expanded Role With CMG
He's a fixture at the top of Radio Ink's Best Country PD list (11 appearances) and now Johnny Chiang will take over Country Format Leader for Cox Media Group with the departure of Jeff Garrison. Chiang will continue in his role as Director of Operations for CMG Houston.

Spanish Language Stations Help St. Jude
Promesa y Esperanza (Promise and Hope), an annual fundraising event that brings together Spanish-language radio stations nationwide was a big success. The two day event, raised more than $783,000 in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
