iHeartMedia has compiled its list of most-played artists for 2022 across its hundreds of broadcast and streaming stations. The top overall artist played on iHeartRadio stations was Doja Cat, while the top song went to The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber.
Audacy Buffalo Raises $81,000 for Local SPCA
Audacy's station cluster in Buffalo raised more than $81,000 for a local chapter of the SPCA during a recent radiothon. The event saw on-air personalities and staffers from Audacy's three Buffalo stations raise cash and awareness for SPCA Serving Erie County.
Cincinnati Broadcaster Jerry Thomas Dies
Jerry Thomas, a long-time broadcaster in the Cincinnati market who delighted morning radio listeners with his cast of characters, died on Thursday at the age of 83. Thomas had been battling Alzheimer's disease. His passing was announced by his son on Facebook.
Dan Dakich Ends Show on WFNI
Sports broadcaster Dan Dakich has produced his final show for Radio One's WFNI (1070, ESPN/The Fan) in Indianapolis. His departure was confirmed in a social media post on Thursday, as well as a memo circulated by Urban One officials at WFNI.
Kelly Music Research to Close
Kelly Music Research, the Philadelphia-based market research firm focused on the broadcast radio and music industries, says it will close up shop by the end of the year. Brothers Tom Kelly and Paul Kelly say they will spend more time on their family charity.
WALK Collects 17,500 Pounds of Food for Charity
Long Island, New York adult contemporary station WALK (97.5 FM) collected more than 17,000 pounds of food and over $10,500 for a local charity during the month of November. The Thanks-for-Giving Food Drive collected food and cash for Long Island Cares.
WGN Radio Repeating 100th Anniversary Special
Nexstar Media Group's only radio station, Chicago's very own WGN (720 AM), will end its centennial celebration with a re-airing of "100 Years of WGN Radio: A Retrospective" on sister television station WGN-TV (Channel 9).

iHeartMedia's Premiere Networks has promoted Annie Zidarevich to serve as the company's senior vice president of West Coast operations. She will optimize resources on the West Coast to best serve Premiere's roster of national shows and services.

Audacy has added Stacey King's "Gimme the Hot Sauce" podcast to its slate of sports-related audio content. The show is now part of Audacy's 2400Sports podcast studio portfolio and will be made available on the Audacy app among others.
