According to Media Monitors, Progressive Insurance aired 62,854 commercials on radio stations across the country last week. That was strong enough for the insurance giant to hold onto the top spot on the Media Monitors weekly list.

P1 Media Group co-founders Ken Benson & Max Dugan will now serve as co-content directors for Alpha Media’s KINK-FM in Portland. They replace Gene Sandbloom.

The Media Bureau has announced that broadcasters have until January 31st to file all documents into their online public inspection files. The Commission says the one month extension is due to a technical issue affecting the responsiveness of the Commission’s online public inspection file system.

HGTV star and influencer Mina Starsiak-Hawk is launching a new show called Mina AF, in partnership with AdLarge and editaudio. The show will provide an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes look at Mina’s real life and what it takes to be a young professional working mom.

Provincetown's public station WOMR (92.1 FM) has installed its new board of directors. Sheila House was elected board president, and Breon Dunigan vice-president. Tony Pierson will continue as the treasurer, and Fred Boak remains as the station's clerk.

Emerson College's radio station WERS (88.9 FM) has named Ken West to the newly-created position of brand manager for the station, effective immediately. West, an Emerson College alumnus, started his three-decade career at WERS before moving to other stations.

Hubbard's hit music station KQMV (92.5 FM, Movin 92.5) in Seattle will offer the Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning show for at least four more years. The show airs in syndication on 50 different stations across the country and is distributed by Premiere Networks.

Jeff Ward is returning to radio with The Jeff Ward Show debuting on Waterloo Media's K274AX (102.7 FM, ESPN) in Austin. Ward's program will air weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the station, which is simulcast on KBPA HD-2 in the market.

The deadline to enter the Radio Television Digital News Association's Edward R. Murrow awards is quickly approaching. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. The organization says it will likely not extend the deadline.

Audacy has hired Craig Schwalb as Brand Manager and News Director for WBBM Newsradio in Chicago. Schwalb succeeds longtime station veteran Ron Gleason, who recently announced his retirement.
