On Wednesday FCC FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn spoke to the NAB Capital Assets Conference on "Financing Minority and Women Ownership in Broadcasting." The Commissioner said owning a television or radio station is a dream. "But the hard, cold reality is this: a new entrant, with no existing license, has a supreme challenge when it comes to acquiring the capital necessary to seal a broadcast property deal."

Cumulus Dumps Classic Hip Hop In Salt Lake
Another Classic Hip Hop station bites the dust. Cumulus launched "The Vibe" in Salt lake City in September of 2015 using a 24-hour format syndicated by Westwood One. On Wednesday, The Vibe was replaced by "Utah's New Hit Music." The Top 40/CHR format will now feature "the biggest hits from today’s hottest artists."
Gray To Interview President During Super Bowl
Westwood One host Jim Gray will interview the president one-on-one, and it will air in the network’s Super Bowl LI broadcast on Sunday, February 5. Gray last interviewed President Trump during the Monday Night Football game on November 7, the night before the election.
