When the holiday season ends, iHeartMedia's Alternative Rocker, which is now airing Christmas music, will flip to Mainstream Adult Contemporary music. Beginning December 26, Star 102.1 will feature music from artists such as Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Pink, and Madonna.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Portland’s 750/102.9 The Game (KXTG) has added Brock & Salk to The Game’s weekly lineup, comes the news that the station will be Portland’s home for Seattle Mariners baseball for the 2017 season.

Alpha is flipping KBAY-FM in the Silicon Valley from "80s And Today," to Classic Hits "94.5 Bay FM." The station will play the greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Nobody should be alone at Christmas time, and with "Christmas Across the Lands," they don’t have to. The annual, 12-hour special broadcast is the brainchild of the Beasley Media Group, who know a thing or two about family. The program airs mainly on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in markets around the globe. Locally, it will be broadcast on Sunny 106 WJPT-FM beginning December 17, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Christmas Eve Morning at 9 a.m.

It’s a new idea and it was a big success in its inaugural year. Alpha Media, Shreveport’s “Pack the Sack” was a huge success. Alpha Media, Dollar Mania, and listeners of the Shreveport-Bossier area teamed together to pack sacks with items like toothpaste, soap, and deodorant to deliver to the homeless.

CFO John Abbot (pictured), who's only been with the company since July, and General Counsel Richard Denning will both receive generous holiday bonuses this year courtesy of the Cumulus Board of Directors Compensation Committee. Abbot, who has repeatedly said Cumulus has too much debt, will be handed a check for $421,875. Denning gets $165,000.
