Benztown Brigade Helps Feed Over 10,000 Angelenos

The 35-year annual charitable event, the E.J. Jackson Foundation Turkey Giveaway, served long lines of people, stretching for blocks in South L.A., as they waited to receive a turkey with all the trimmings — cornbread, greens, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, fresh produce, cookies, water, and more donated by the E.J. Jackson Foundation.

The Foundation’s mission is to feed as many hungry families, senior citizens, and veterans throughout the year as possible. Benztown’s L.A. employees and their friends and families have joined them in this community service effort for the past six years. Founder E.J. Jackson died last year, but his legacy continues in this annual community service event.
