CBS Radio Renews With Westwood One News
Westwood One News has re-signed some of CBS's biggest radio brands, such as WINS in New York, KYW in Philadelphia, and WBZ in Boston. The network has also added CBS's WWJ in Detroit. The news network now has more than 700 affiliates nationwide, and as of this week can also be heard on the SiriusXM POTUS and Progress channels.
Lotus Closes On KFWB-AM
The $11.2 million purchase of KFWB-AM in Los Angeles is now closed. Lotus Communications purchased the station from Universal Media Access KFWB-AM, LLC. The sale was announced on October 4, 2016. Earlier in 2016, after sitting in a trust since 2011, KFWB-AM was sold to Universal Media Access for $8 million. Eight months later the station was flipped for $11 million. Kalil & Company were the exclusive brokers on the Lotus purchase.
