Seattle’s 106.1 KISS FM (KBKS) raised $817,711.47 in just 13 hours on Wednesday, December 13, to bring its 15-year radiothon total to over $ 15.7 million dollars. Bender’s One Big KISS for Seattle Children’s Hospital Radiothon brought the stories of Children’s patients, families, staff, and volunteers to their listeners across the region (and the U.S. via iHeartRadio), who responded with generous donations.
“It never ceases to amaze me how incredible our community is. After 15 years and 17 radiothons our donors and partners in the community continue to step up so generously every year,” said Michele Smith, Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation board of trustees. “This wouldn’t happen without the amazing Bender and Molly on 106.1 KISS F M. They have such passion for Seattle Children’s and I think it really shows in the way their listeners contribute to the hospital every year.
