Alpha Media, North Dallas-Sherman-McKinney, TX, stations 93.1 KMKT, 97.5 KLAK, and Mad Rock 102.5 raised over $130,000 in monetary and food donations with their 21st annual Bob Skaggs Food Drive. The three-day event, sponsored by Tyson Foods, Lankford Roofing, and Serenity Best Home Health, was held in Sherman, Texas. Financial donations alone from listeners around the community were at well over $10,600 and surpassed any previous year, making it the largest food drive benefitting the Salvation Army in the State of Texas.
Alpha Media N. Dallas Market Manager David Smith commented on the announcement, “This kind of outpouring is just the sort of generosity we’ve come to expect in this unique community, but the consistent increase in annual donations is nothing short of amazing. We are always left speechless, humbled, and honored to be a part of this iconic event.”
