Bob & Sheri Support The Troops

Nationally syndicated morning show Bob & Sheri once again helped make coming home for the holidays memorable for nearly 4,000 troops as part of USO’s annual Operation Exodus. Bob Lacey and Sheri Lynch show their support by welcoming troops as they transit through the Charlotte airport on their way home for the holidays. The show, which originates at flagship station WLNK-FM, 107.9 The Link/Charlotte and is heard nationally on over 50 stations and Armed Forces Radio, helped provide big smiles, words of gratitude, and breakfast to 3,900 plus men and women returning from deployment and heading home to family and friends.

Lynch said, “It’s one thing to talk about service and sacrifice, but when you meet these soldiers and hear their stories, you realize the magnitude of their commitment. Fathers who’ve yet to meet — much less hold — their infant children. Mothers who can only manage homework and the occasional bedtime tuck-in via FaceTime. Recruits straight out of high school and combat veterans alike, just so excited to get home to family, friends, and their own special holiday traditions. And knowing that they’ve chosen to serve is humbling. It’s a real privilege to help make their journey home a joyful one.”
