On Tuesday morning, Westwood One announced the appointment of Spotify’s Director of Global Podcast Sales David Cohn as Senior Vice President, Sales and Digital Partnerships. In his new role, Cohn will take charge of nationwide digital sales, primarily focusing on enhancing brand partnerships across podcasting. He will also lead Westwood’s sales teams in New York and Atlanta.
Cohn brings 25 years of media sales experience spanning audio, podcast, programmatic, data, mobile, video, and native solutions to the company from his previous positions at Spotify, Megaphone, Warner Media, Ziff Davis, and WWE.
“The opportunity to expand our digital footprint with the company’s amazing podcast and streaming assets was a natural draw for me,” Cohn said. “I’m excited to dig into the integrated advertising opportunities available in the red-hot audio space.”
