Entercom’s 12th Annual Prisma Health Children’s Hospital Upstate Radiothon has raised $200,945 for the hospital. The funds will help sustain the many programs and services that support children and families during a hospital stay. Prisma Health Children’s Hospital serves all of upstate South Carolina, western North Carolina, and eastern Georgia.
The majority of fundraising occurred during a live two-day broadcast on regional stations 106.3 WORD (WYRD-FM), ESPN Upstate (WYRD-AM), Classic Rock 101.1 (WROQ-FM), 93.3 The Planet (WTPT-FM), Magic 98.9 (WSPA-FM), B93.7 (WFBC-FM), and The Block (WFBCHD2). Additional funds were raised through online and text-to-give donations that accrued in the days preceding the live broadcast.
“Radiothon is such a labor of love for the entire Entercom family. We have a passion for our loyal listeners and community and none are more special than the families at Children’s Hospital,” said Devon van der Merwe, Director of Sales at Entercom. “Being able to give back is what makes our radio brands, our sponsors, and personalities so powerful.”
This year’s event brings the total amount raised to over $3.2 million since 2007.
