Listeners to the Rush Limbaugh show continue to purchase his $27.00 Betsy Ross T-shirts. Proceeds from the shirts are being donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which pays off mortgages of those killed on September 11.
Rush came up with the idea after Nike, with pressure from Colin Kaepernick, nixed a plan to sell sneakers with the Betsy Ross flag on them. The $3 million has been raised in only three weeks.

How strangely things can turn out. I was living and working in the Reno market when Kaepernick was the star QB for University of Nevada. He performed great there, and I admired him at that time. Then, when he went on to the 49ers, his athletic prowess plummeted…and he compounded that downfall with his protests.
He was not well-advised, I guess, and now Kaepernick is reviled by millions of Americans…and he keeps digging a deeper hole, as it were. As a young person might say, “Colin, wake up, dude! Stop!”
