Barrett Sports Media has announced its Top 20 Local Sports Radio Midday Shows of 2017 for Major Markets (1-20) and Mid-Markets (21-100). In the Major Market category, top honors this year went to Mason and Ireland of ESPN LA 710. This was their second time topping the list. The Los Angeles midday duo earned a win in 2016, and have never finished lower than fourth. The rest of the Top 5 featured BaD Radio of Sports Radio 96.7/1310 The Ticket, Zolak & Bertrand of 98.5 The Sports Hub, 2017’s winner Joe and Evan of WFAN, and GBag Nation of 105.3 The Fan.
The rankings represent the collective opinions of 51 radio executives from 30 U.S cities and 13 different companies.

The Mid-Market category also saw a return to the top. Dan Dakich, who earned top billing in 2016, reclaimed his crown, dethroning last year’s winners The Midday 180 of 104.5 The Zone in Nashville who fell to number two. The rest of the Top 5 included Kevin Wheeler of 101 ESPN, Monsters of the Midday on WWLS 98.1 The Sports Animal, and Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio.
