CBS News will relaunch Intelligence Matters, the podcast hosted by former CIA Acting Director and CBS News National Security Contributor Michael Morell, with an all-new edition available to listeners on May 2. The first podcast will feature an in-depth interview with former CIA and NSA Director Michael Hayden. The weekly podcast features Morell speaking with senior national security, foreign policy, and intelligence community insiders who reflect on the national security challenges facing the United States today, their lives doing national security work, and the roles they played in shaping policy for the U.S. government.

“The podcast will educate listeners on the complex national security issues facing the nation and do so in a way that is entertaining and non-partisan, a place free of politics, just like national security should be,” said Morell. “Each podcast will deliver listeners critical insight into how the U.S. national security and intelligence community operates as well as an insider perspective on the world around us from people who know best. I look forward to serving our loyal listeners while also reaching new audiences with CBS News.”

“There is no one better than Michael Morell to illuminate the constantly changing worlds of intelligence, espionage, and national security and no better place to do it than the Intelligence Matters podcast,” CBS News Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief Christopher Isham said.
