Thanks to our friend Elroy Smith for sharing this news about KBLX-FM in San Francisco. The KBLX PD tells Radio Ink the station has been recognized for their contributions to black music and artists by being the first radio station inducted into the Bay Area Black Music Hall of Fame.
The award presentation will take place at the annual Bay Area Black Music Awards, Saturday, in Oakland. Smith said, “I am humbled that KBLX is being recognized with this prestigious honor. It is always heartwarming to be acknowledged for the hard work and dedication we exhibit day in and day out.”
