WSOY News/Talk 1340AM/103.3 FM has been named “Community Partner of the Year” by the Kroger Central Division at their Vendor and Community Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony in Carmel, Indiana, on Tuesday, March 28. WSOY was chosen for the prestigious honor for the impact of the WSOY Community Food Drive, and based on several key performance criteria, as well as general cooperation and enthusiasm toward achieving mutual goals.

Food Drive co-founder Kevin Breheny said, “This is a very big and nice honor. Kroger has been there from the beginning and they are a major reason for the success of the WSOY Community Food Drive. What an incredible company Kroger is, with a great group of employees.”

Food drive co-founder and Vice President of Development for Neuhoff Media Brian Byers added, “We are honored and humbled by this recognition. Through the entire 15-year history of the food drive, there as been no greater partner to its success than Kroger. It was a great honor to stand on the stage and accept this honor with great companies such as Red Bull, Hershey and Snapple.”

With Kroger as its host, The WSOY Community Food Drive has raised over 7.9 million pounds of food for local food pantries in its 15-year history.
