As a result of the RAB’s recent announcement that it will no longer release revenue numbers for radio, Radio Ink has learned that, starting with the third quarter, BIA/Kelsey will start releasing a “quarterly assessment” of the Radio industry.
The new quarterly report will be based on over-the-air revenue, online revenue, and NTR, according to BIA/Kelsey Sr. Vice President and Chief Economist Mark Fratrik. Fratrik tells Radio Ink that the information will be based on data from public companies, as well as from other sources BIA/Kelsey has at its disposal. Earlier this week, the RAB announced, after 20 years, it will stop releasing revenue numbers for the radio industry.
