NPR One Scoring Big With Young Listeners

The Current has the details regarding the NPR app, which is a stream of NPR news and local news targeted to the listener’s location. It launched in 2014. The largest group of listeners on NPR One is in the 25-to-34 demo. That’s according to NPR’s own stats. And 40 percent of their listeners are under 35. More than a third of users who answered the NPR survey say they never or only occasionally listen to broadcast radio.

Also, according to the NPR data, the average user listens to NPR One for nearly two and a half hours every week. More than a quarter said they are listening more to NPR on terrestrial radio after starting to use NPR One.
