JVC Broadcasting is in partnership with the long-running Long Island radio show “Memories in Melody.” Jack Ellsworth’s “Memories in Melody” has been on the air for over 68 years and is now hosted by Jack’s grandson, Matt Taylor. The format of the show is Ballads, Blues and Big Bands. It was dropped by Connoisseur last week. Starting January 8, the show will air on 103.9 FM Sunday mornings from 7 to 9 a.m.

In addition to airing the program on JVC-owned 103.9 FM, the family is in discussion with JVC to add the program on other JVC radio stations and to possibly syndicate the show. JVC Long Island VP and COO Vic Canales said, “This is great music that needs to be on the radio. Jack Ellsworth created a brand and his grandson Matt and the entire family are continuing the tradition and building on the masterpiece that Jack created; we are proud to be a small part of that.” Canales continues, “And it is so nice to see young people like Matt and his sisters totally devoted to radio and continuing the radio tradition that cuts so deep in his family; this is exactly what radio needs.”
