Doug Banks Memorial Set For Tomorrow

A memorial service will be held for syndicated host Doug Banks tomorrow at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral in Dallas. Banks died Monday of complications from diabetes. The New Pittsburgh Courrier reports that Banks lost a toe and an eye to the disease and was on dialysis. He continued to work though, making an appearance in Chicago the day before he died, at the Black Women’s Expo. Banks was 57.

Frank Ski Returning To V103 Atlanta

After four years away, Frank Ski is back in Atlanta. Ski is returning to CBS's V-103 April 23 and will host shows Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sundays from 7 p.m.-11 p.m.

CBS Radio Promotes Fitzsimmons

Chad Fitzsimmons gets a new title in the division he's been working in since 2013. He's now the VP of Music Initiatives for CBS Radio. Fitzsimmons will be responsible for the creation and execution of the division’s concert series, including We Can Survive and The Night Before.

Former Christian Host Sentenced To Probation

This is a follow-up to a story we told you about back in February. Proclaim FM 102.3 Toledo host Mark Howington was arrested for inappropriately touching a woman. Police say the 52-year-old slapped a woman on the butt inside the women's restroom of a Target. He's been sentenced to one year of probation after he was convicted of assault.

Programming Changes For iHeart Omaha

Erik Johnson has been named Senior VP of Programming and Hoss Michaels PD for KXKT/KFFF. Johnson previously served as PD for iHeart Omaha's KXKT, KFFF, and KISO, and will continue as PD of KGOR, KISO, and KISO-HD2, as well as continuing to host the PM Drive on KXKT. Michaels will continue hosting the midday show on KXKT.

Crump To Lead Big Horn Network

Legend Communications announced that Mark Crump has been appointed to Executive VP and GM of the Big Horn Radio Network. BHRN is a nine-station radio group comprised of six FM and 3 three AM stations, and three translators in Cody, Wyoming. Crump will move to Wyoming from St. George, Utah, where he's the Market Manager of Cherry Creek Radio’s Southern Utah stations.

Pinfield works at SiriusXM’s Lithium channel and hosts the long-running nationally syndicated classic rock weekend show Flashback. Current morning man Mike “No Name” Nelson shifts to afternoon drive to make room for Pinfield.
