Veteran programmer Tim Roberts has been promoted to Vice President of Programming for CBS’s Detroit cluster, which includes WYCD-FM, WOMC-FM, and AMP Radio (WDZH-FM). Roberts’ title before the promotion was Operations Manager/PD for the three stations. In 2016, Roberts was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in Nashville.

CBS’ Detroit Market Manager said, “Tim has been instrumental in the success of our cluster. His passion for radio and his winning track record make him perfect for this position.”

Roberts is a Detroit native with over 38 years of on-air and radio programming experience. He programmed legendary stations KHAK-Cedar Rapids, KDRK-Spokane, KSAN and KNEW-San Francisco, WKKT-Charlotte, and WWWW-Detroit. Roberts then joined Cumulus Media Corporation as Midwest Operations Manager. At Cumulus, he oversaw more than 25 multi-city stations, and formatted radio stations including Country, Rock, Top 40, Talk, and Classic Hits. Roberts joined the CBS RADIO Detroit team in 2005 as the Program Director for WYCD-FM, and later, added Operations Manager to his title when he took on WOMC-FM. This past fall, WDZH-FM was added to Roberts’ responsibilities.
