WCCO’s Roger Erickson Dies At 89
On Monday, WCCO-AM (Minnesota) radio legend Roger Erickson died at the age of 89. Erickson began working in radio in 1959. One of the many things he was known for was his 5 a.m. program giving morning warnings, telling everyone that their school was closed. He was also part of the Boone and Erickson show for 37 years. Erickson retired in 1998 and was inducted into the broadcasting hall of fame in 2001.

This Jock Is Flexxing In DC
WPGC 95.5/Washington DC has a new MD. DJ Flexx is taking on the role in addition to his on-air hosting duties, weekdays from 3-7 p.m. Flexx started his radio career at WPGC-AM Flava 1580 in 1995, honing his skills, not only as a mix-show jock but also as a radio personality, and was quickly hired by sister station WPGC 95.5 the following year.
Jason Hollins Joins Jacobs Media As Research Director
The veteran media research executive will work closely with Fred and Paul Jacobs to lead the company’s expanding research initiatives in radio, digital media, and beyond. Hollins has spent the entirety of his career in media with Edison Research, including serving nearly 12 years as vice president.
