iHeartMedia Norfolk, which recently flipped a CHR station to Alternative Rock, has hired Brett Ballard to program the station. He'll also host afternoons. Ballard joins the Norfolk Market from WTKX in Mobile where he was PD at WTKX. He also programmed WRKH in Mobile and WFFX in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for iHeart.

Joel Murphy has been named PD for Top 40 KISS FM in Cleveland and Keith Abrams, Senior VP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s North Ohio Region, has been named PD WMMS-FM.

Entercom has appointed Jim Fox as Vice President of Music Programming for the Dallas-Fort Worth cluster, effective December 21. Fox joined Entercom Sacramento in 2003 and will continue in his current role as Vice President of Programming in the Sacramento cluster until the end of the year

There’s a new PD at 101.1 WNOE, New Orleans Country Station. Ashley Wilson will program the station and host PM drive. Wilson joins iHeartMedia New Orleans from Country station WGNE-FM in Jacksonville

iHeartMedia Washington, DC announced Friday that Toby Knapp has been named new co-host for the morning show on 97.1 WASH-FM, “Washington’s Variety of the 80s, 90s and Today,” starting today.

Mottla’s career includes the VP/programming position at Envisage Radio Group in Escondido, CA as well as programming rock stations including WHEB/WGIR Manchester, NH, WDRE Long Island, NY, WIYY Baltimore, MD, KTYD Santa Barbara, CA, and WFNX Boston, MA.

Kent Dunn will return to August, GA to oversee the company’s cluster of eight radio stations in the market, including WKXC-FM 99.5, WHHD-FM 98.3, WDRR-FM 93.9, WGUS-FM 102.7, WCHZ-FM 93.1/95.5, WGAC-FM 95.1, WGAC-AM 580, and WRDW-AM 163.

iHeartMedia has promoted John Ivey to the newly created position of President of CHR Programming Strategy. Ivey will oversee iHeartMedia’s CHR and RCHR formats and work to improve the company’s Top 40 brands in its over 150 markets. Ivey will retain his role as PD of KIIS FM in LA.

Software company RCS has announced that Barry Hill has been promoted to VP Customer Experience, reporting to President and CEO Philippe Generali. Before joining RCS 20 years ago, Hill was a PD, morning host, and selector user for many years.

iHeartMedia New York announced on Wednesday that Cara Hahn has been promoted to APD and Music Director for Z100 and Lite FM. Hahn joined iHeartMedia New York in 2014 where she most recently served as Programming Coordinator for the market. She will report to both Chris Conley, Program Director for 106.7 Lite FM, and Mark Medina, Program Director for Z100.
