Kriegler Assumes US Sales Manager Role At Omnia
Broadcast tech company The Telos Alliance—announced today that it has appointed Paul Kriegler as Omnia US Sales Manager, Radio Processing. Telos is the parent company of Omnia. Kriegler has more than 25 years of broadcast management and programming experience, most recently as Operations Manager for Lotus Radio Corporation in Reno.
Neuhoff Promotes Outlaw
Danielle Outlaw is the new VP/Market Manager for Neuhoff Media's three-station Bloomington, Illinois cluster. Outlaw transitions from her current role as VP of Sales overseeing five Neuhoff markets. She'll continue to serve as Corporate VP for Special Projects. Outlaw replaces Grant Thompson who joined iHeart in August.
DiNardo Stays In San Fran
Bonneville has hired Steve DiNardo as D.O.S. for its new San Francisco cluster. DiNardo will oversee sales for KOIT-FM, KMVQ-FM, KBLX-FM, and KUFX-FM. DiNardo was Market Manager for Entercom in San Francisco until October when Susan Larkin took over. Bonneville will LMA the stations as part of Entercom's divestiture plan to help close its merger with CBS.
Changes At Media Services Group
Eddie Esserman is the new Managing Director at the brokerage firm, taking over for George Reed. Esserman has been a director at MSG for nearly 20 years. Reed said, “I look forward to devoting more time to brokering. Thirteen years as Managing Director is at least 10 more than I ever intended.” MSG also announced that Will Cate is joining the company as Research Director.
Big Chris Switches Stations In Reno
Cumulus Media has announced that it has appointed Chris Hart (known on-air as “Big Chris” Hart) as Program Director for Classic Hip Hop radio station KNEV-FM/95.5 The Vibe in Reno, NV. A 15-year veteran of Reno radio, Hart was previously Program Director and afternoon on-air host for KWFP-FM in Reno, following a decade at KUUB-FM in Reno.
Daniel Baldwin Gets His Game On
ESPN Syracuse has created a new local sports talk show featuring actor Daniel Baldwin. The Daniel Baldwin Show airs from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Baldwin is the main host, joined in studio by co-host Josh Grosvent who is also the host of The Show mornings on K-ROCK (WKRL-FM and WKLL-FM).
Handel Apologizes
KFI Los Angeles conservative talker Bill Handel has apologized for calling congresswoman Frederica Wilson a whore on his show two weeks ago. L.A. Weekly reports that Handel made the apology in a prerecorded message. Political commentator Janmyne Cannick, who's been pressuring iHeart about the comment, archived the clip..
Philadelphia’s Rod Carson Passes
KYW in Philadelphia is reporting that Rod Carson, one of the founders of Shadow Traffic, KYW Newsradio, died over the weekend at his home in Lehighton, Carbon County. He was 75. Carson was best known for the traffic reports on CBS Radio's KYW. Carson's Facebook page, which states he died of natural causes, is being flooded with comments.
Noory Makes It To The St. Louis HOF
