FM News 101 KXL/Portland has named Lucinda Kay and Cooper Banks co-hosts for the Afternoon News program, which airs Monday–Friday 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Kay started freelancing for KXL Radio in 2016 and transitions into a fulltime role with the station. Banks worked as an afternoon DJ at KWKJ in Warrensburg, MO, in 2004, and was hired as News Director for KMXL/KDMO in Joplin, MO, two years later. He made the jump to large-market radio, taking a position with KMBZ in Kansas City as a producer, reporter, and news anchor.

“I am extremely excited to work each day with Cooper and Lucinda. They have the talent that will take KXL to a new level in p.m. drive,” commented Alpha Media Portland Content Director Bruce Collins.
