Kurt Luchs has assumed the position of General Manager of NRG Media’s seven-station Omaha cluster, after leading the company’s four-station Wausau-Stevens Point, WI, group for nearly five years. At the same time, Aleese Fielder, who has been Director of Sales at the Wausau cluster, now becomes the General Manager. Luchs started in Omaha with NRG as the GM for Waitt Radio Networks, which the company owned at the time. Before coming to NRG, Fielder worked as a GSM and GM for Cumulus, among others.
NRG Media President/CEO, Mary Quass, said of the changes, “The goal of NRG Media is to be a destination company for our team to build a career, so I am very excited to be able to promote from within. These promotions are well deserved, together Kurt and Aleese turned Wausau around and helped make it one of the most successful markets in the company.
